
Pupils with masks headed back to school in Berlin on Monday, as holidays came to an end and schools reopened with coronavirus measures in place. Pupils were allowed to return to school under special conditions, such as wearing face masks in the school building, when not seated at their desks. In addition, they have to oblige by a number of hygiene regulations which have been in place since the start of the outbreak.
Germany has reported over 217,300 cases of coronavirus since the start of the outbreak, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. Over 9,200 have died with the virus.
